Yesterday my son graduated from Loyola Marymount Universitywith a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Civil Engineering!  What a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's Day, I can't tell you how proud I am!  Years ago when my son was born my Mom gave me a plaque with a poem titled Take Time...Take time to exclaim over what I color, to admire the things I make from clay, take time Mommy, I am growing up and away.......  My Mom was not your "conventional" Mom, she was a Los Angeles police officer,  I assume there was a hidden message there when she gave me that plaque 22 years ago, maybe she felt like she didn't take enough time to enjoy us while we were growing up.  I can honestly say that I did take the time to enjoy my son and it has truly paid off!  Here is a photo of him with his girlfriend a business major, who will be graduating from LMU next year, she already has her real estate license and is notary, talk about a go getter!  Motherhood has its rewards!  Happy Mother's Day!
