My little brother is in town and we were visiting with a friend of his from high school the other night.  She was telling us that she had her home in Encino on the market for several months last year in hopes of getting it sold and moving to Austin Texas.  She is a personal assistant to a celebrity that lives in Malibu so she has a bit of a commute and her husband is a food critic and can live any where.  Originally they thought Austin Texas would be the perfect place to raise their girls.  However when things did not work out they decided not to look at our current real estate market as a negative and decided to take advantage of it and buy another property in the Las Virgines School District so she can be closer to work and her kids can go to better schools.  What a brilliant idea!  I referred her to a terrific agent that I am currently in escrow with that works out that way, how cool is that!
