Yesterday in the business section of the LA Times was a disappointing but not surprising article on suspected fraud cases against those falsely claiming to qualify for the First Time Buyer Tax Credit. 

If you think you can get away with claiming a credit even though you don't qualify, think again!  The IRS has a screening system in place to quickly identify fraudulent claims.
